I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic** church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
We frequently recite the Apostles’ Creed in our worship service. It sums up our theological beliefs. If you would like to know more about our beliefs, the UMC website is a great resource. Read more at “what-we-believe”.
Methodists are also called to demonstrate the love of Jesus by being actively involved in helping their neighbors, family, community, and their world. Our congregation is involved with volunteering to help distribute food for Harvesters each month from our church parking lot. Our weekly “Noisey Offerings” are collected and distributed to different organizations every 6 months. Special offerings are taken periodically to donate to various causes as the need arises. Recently, we put together hygiene kits to be taken to the Florida area to aid in the hurricane cleanup. In addition, our Fellowship Hall is used by different groups for their meetings.
